InvestChile by Corfo awarded with "World Finance IT Innovation of the Year" Prize

This prize for worldwide leaders highlights the emphasis that our institution puts in the innovation and technology in order to attract investments to the country.



The World Finance magazine, read by more than 120 thousand people all over the world including readers from different political and economic approaches globally, awarded this year to InvestChile by Corfo with the IT Innovation of the Year Award 2010.

This prize recognizes the work performed by Corfo through its program InvestChile in order to attract investors to the country related to the technology and innovation field.

"It was a great pleasure for us to receive this award recognizing Corfo?s work in the promotion and attraction of investors in Chile as well as the results obtained by this job. As InvestChile, we are concerned about attracting investors that will help in the development of the country", says the Head of SME Development Division, Juan Antonio Figueroa.

The criteria used for selecting Corfo as the winner of this award include its competitiveness, the investment attraction level, the types of incentives and general abilities.

About World Finance Award 2010

The World Finance Award was created in 2007 for identifying leaders in industries, individuals, equipments and organizations that represent reference and the best practices in the business world.

Other awarded categories include Best Cleantech Company of the Year, Best Finance Technology Company of the Year and Best Trading Platform.

About InvestChile

InvestChile is the Corfo area in charge of promoting and attracting investments to the country. Its objective is to achieve foreign enterprises to come and contribute with financing, knowledge, commercial and technology channels needed to turn Chile into a developed country.

Support the installation of foreign enterprises through the provision of different processes as the creation of agendas, connection with chilean entrepreneurs, etc. Also, it gives incentives as subsidies to pre-investment studies, for starting up and the training of human resources, among others.
